Human Trafficking Statistical Definitions (PDF)

This guidance presents statistical definitions of human trafficking that are intended to guide researchers and organizations that seek to measure the prevalence of human trafficking for research or programmatic evaluation. It can be used with a variety of estimation techniques but is chiefly targeted towards probabilistic or non-probabilistic survey-based measurements. Researchers and organizations may adapt it to other methodologies, as needed and appropriate.
